Sawyer sits in Chikaming Township at the southern end of our Berrien County coverage, part of the Harbor Country cluster of lakeshore communities near Warren Dunes State Park. I-94 exit 12 is the main artery, feeding both local traffic and a heavy flow of Chicago-area weekenders heading to the beach towns along the lake. That out-of-town traffic mix means we see more unfamiliar drivers, more GPS-guided detours onto smaller roads, and more rental and out-of-state vehicles than in our core Benton Harbor coverage.
Being our southernmost regular stop, Sawyer calls take a bit longer to reach than in-town Benton Harbor calls, but it’s still well within our standard coverage radius and we run this stretch of I-94 daily.
