Covert Township sits at the northern edge of our regular Van Buren County coverage, near I-196 on the way to South Haven. It’s a mix of rural farmland and Lake Michigan shoreline, with the Palisades nuclear plant site and quiet beach communities giving it a very different feel from our denser Benton Harbor coverage. Being our farthest-north regular stop, Covert calls are less frequent but still well within our range.
I-196 traffic here moves fast and steady between Benton Harbor and South Haven, and a stall on the shoulder in this stretch needs quick, visible positioning given the highway speeds — different from the slower in-town calls closer to our yard.
